Great post Mariam. You've done a great job of highlight the advantages of using Facebook and it's donor pages to better connect with a nonprofits community. While there are many advantages to Facebook's platform, it's also important for organizations and fundraisers to stay on top of developments to the platforms their communities are using. The other day we discussed some of the areas where Facebook has not been executing as well, for example where they are not communicating platform changes to their users efficiently: http://bit.ly/b6bJEO

Thanks for this great post Miriam. It goes to show that good fundraising practices are good practices on any channel, whether it'd direct mail or Facebook.

Hi Miriam,
Thank you so much for your continued support and efforts to raise awareness about the work at the Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT). It's great to get positive feedback on how we use Facebook, and we are so pleased to know that it's having an effect on people!

Kind Regards,
Lindsay

If you're serious about raising money from donors, you need to get serious about donors. More than ever before, donors are insisting that you share power with them, not treating them like passive ATMs. This blog is about the ways you can do that -- and the rewards that await you and your donors when you do.

DonorPower Blog is penned by Greg Fox. Greg has spent 25 years in the DM industry — 22 in direct fundraising, and 3 doodling on the back of campaign analysis spreadsheets. Greg is ably assisted from time to time by a police line-up of guest “artists”, DM pros all, who like to pose as blogatorialists when the sun goes down. You can reach this blog at

A great partner for the nonprofit that wants to get donor-powered and grow revenue like crazy!
